News Update: Netflix Coming to iPhone This Summer – Apple WWDC 2010

Apples announcement is happening right now, Steve Jobs has just walked out on stage and we are watching and waiting for the tentative announcement of the fourth generation iphone. But as we wait for the company to release it’s latest developments, it also important to remember the recent news for Apple that Steve Jobs may not highlight in his keynote on stage today. Apple has recently been facing some controversy. Of course there was Apple’s sparring with Adobe over Flash usage. As well as assertions that Apple exerts too much control over it’s own App Store. And Apple’s run in with the Gizmodo blog, including the involvement of law enforcement concerning the possibly stolen iPhone prototype. Gizmodo posted images and alleged specs of the new device, the real version of which is expected to be revealed today. Steve jobs has been on stage now for a few minutes, he is going over the specs of the company’s newest product – the ipad. A quick run through of the numbers as reported by Apple CEO STeve Jobs… They company sold 2 million ipads in the past 2 months, and the device will be in 19 countries by the end of july. Jobs updated us that there are 200 thousand apps currently available in the App Store, 5000 of which are designed specifically for the iPad, with 8500 Native pad apps in the store. In the first 65 days of sale, ipad users have downloaded over 5m ebooks. We will keep you posted on all the developments today from WorldWide Developers Conf 2010.
